1. Service Description

QuoteForge is a precision engineering quoting platform operated by Shaw Research & Development Ltd ("we", "our", "us"). The service provides automated cost estimates for CNC machined parts based on geometry, material, and other parameters you provide.

2. Quotes Are Estimates

All quotes generated by QuoteForge are estimates only and are not binding offers or contracts. Final pricing may vary based on:

• Detailed review of actual CAD files or drawings
• Material availability and current pricing
• Specific tolerance and finish requirements
• Volume and scheduling requirements
• Other factors not captured in the initial quote parameters

Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.

3. Account Terms

To use QuoteForge, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old or have legal capacity to enter contracts
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

4. Credit System

QuoteForge operates on a pay-per-quote credit system:

• New accounts receive 2 free trial credits
• Additional credits can be purchased in packs
• Credits are non-refundable and non-transferable
• One credit is consumed per quote generated
• Credits do not expire

5. Payment Terms

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. Prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where applicable. Refunds are not typically provided for credit purchases, except where required by law.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the system
• Upload malicious files or content
• Interfere with the service's operation
• Use automated tools to access the service without permission

7. Intellectual Property

Files you upload remain your property. We do not claim any ownership of your CAD files or drawings. Uploaded files are processed for quoting purposes only and are automatically deleted from our servers.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shaw Research & Development Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the service.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
